Tweed Coast Chiropractic raising awareness of heart attack prevention in Kingscliff

During Heart Week (April 29 – May 6), Tweed Coast Chiropractic is joining the Heart Foundation in encouraging our local community to learn the warning signs —and take the necessary steps toward a healthier, more active lifestyle—to help avoid heart attack. Get active, sit less. New data released today by the Heart Foundation reveal more than two thirds of Australian adults – almost 13 million people, or 69.1 per cent – have at least three risk factors for the nation’s biggest killer, heart disease.

Heart Week is an opportunity to talk to the team at Tweed Coast Chiropractic Clinic in Kingscliff, about ways to stay mobile for optimal heart health. Almost 10,000 Australians die each year of a heart attack. Eating a healthy diet and exercising every day is key to heart health. In addition you can reduce your risk of heart attack by:

  • Being smoke free
  • Managing cholesterol and blood pressure
  • Managing diabetes
  • Being a healthy weight
  • Eating well
  • Looking after your mental health

Our practitioners and chiropractors provide a variety of treatments, including massage, to help keep your body on the move to be as active as possible. Whether you are healthy or recovering from injury or surgery, we work towards helping patients from the Gold Coast to Byron Bay remain involved in physical activity to prevent heart disease.

Kingscliff chiropractor recommends 30 minutes activity a day

Rehabilitation treatment at Tweed Coast Chiropractic aims to reduce the time it takes for patients to return to full form after injury or surgery. Regular, moderate activity is a vital part of a healthy lifestyle. We recommend a little exercise every day—30 minutes of activity on most, if not every day.

Keeping active helps you avoid heart problems by managing high blood pressure and weight. We believe it’s never too late to start increasing physical activity. A healthy change to benefit your heart may start with getting up from your desk a few times a day to do some simple stretches recommended by our health team. A supple body is integral to keeping mobile as we age.
